LEOMINSTER -- Verna G. "The Queen" (Milton) Heughan, 77 years old, of Leominster, died Sunday, March 28, 2010, in her home after an illness. She is survived by her daughter Robin D. Goodwin of Leominster, her son Keith M. Heughan and his wife Patty of Fitchburg, her two sisters Anita Milton and Mabel Milton both of Leominster, her brother Raymond Milton of Leominster, her three grandsons Adam Goodwin of North Hampton, Gregory Goodwin and Blake Goodwin both of Leominster. She was predeceased by her sisters Marcele Atkinson, May Shepard and Lillian Milton.

Verna was born in Leominster, on December 8, 1932, daughter of Raymond E. and Lillian (Munroe) Milton and was a life long resident. She was a graduate of Leominster Saxton Trade School and had worked at City Cleaners in Fitchburg for many years. Verna was a member of the Oddfellows and the Rebekahs. She loved doing crossword puzzles.

HEUGHAN -- A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at 11 A.M. in the Unitarian Universalist Church, 15 West Street, Leominster. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 from 5-8 P.M. in the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Grains & Greens Food Bank, Unitarian Universalist Church, 15 West Street, Leominster, MA 01453.
