Evelyn M. Krasenics

of Townsend, beloved wife, mother,
and grandmother; 75

TOWNSEND -- Evelyn M. (Blanchard) Krasenics. 75, of Townsend, died Monday, October 4, 2010, at her home, following a lengthy struggle with cancer.

Mrs. Krasenics was born in Feeding Hills, Massachusetts, May 5, 1935, the daughter of Martin E. and Lucile A. (August) Farkas and grew up un Milford, Connecticut. She was a graduate of Milford High School. Mrs. Krasenics and her family have resided in Townsend for nearly 50 years.

Several years ago, she was active in the Townsend Cub Scout and Boy Scout Programs, and had been a member of the Townsend Fire Department Auxiliary.

Always known for her wonderful smile, Evelyn enjoyed gardening, working with ceramics, scrapbooking, and especially enjoyed spending time with her cats, and her family.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Richard E. Krasenics; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard L. and Edith Johnson Krasenics and Steven C. Krasenics, all of Townsend. She also leaves her grandson, Derek Johnson; and three great-grandchildren.

KRASENICS -- A funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Friday, October 8, 2010, at the T.J. Anderson & Son Funeral Home, 250 Main Street (Rte. 119), Townsend Center. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Townsend. Calling hours are 5-8 p.m., Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pat Brody Shelter for Cats, 479 Northfield Road, Lunenburg, MA 01462.
