LEOMINSTER -- Richard F. Mumford, 62 years old, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 26, 2011 after a brief illness, with his loving family by his side. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Kathleen E. (Stodulski) Mumford, his daughters Christine M. Lane and Pamela J. Mumford as well as his granddaughter Madelaine E. Lane, all of Leominster. He is also survived by his mother Virginia (Alderman) Mumford of Massachusetts, his sister Gail Kinnick of Pennsylvania, his brothers Robert Mumford of Washington, DC, James Mumford of Massachusetts and Steven Mumford of Wisconsin, as well as several extended family and friends.

Known to his family as "Papa", Richard most enjoyed being with "his girls", especially summers spent at the beach and Saturday morning coffee at Panera Bread. Richard took great pride in his family and will surely be missed by many, especially his 2 puppy family members, Sadie and Mia, whom you would find by his side every day.

Richard lived in Leominster for the past 26 years, a loving and supportive husband to Kathleen and adoring father and grandfather. He graduated from Mount Greylock Regional High School in Williamstown and received his bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.
