WESTMINSTER -- Stephen T. Sharron, 61 died at his home on Friday, June 29, 2012 after an illness.

Stephen leaves his son Jason Sharron and his wife Heidi, a grandson Benjamin Sharron and granddaughter Julia, all of Ashburnham, a brother Raymond Sharron of Florida, a half-brother Paul Carlberg of Gardner, his longtime companion Pam Kidder of Westminster, and his former wife Cheryle (Plant) Sharron of Templeton.

Stephen was born in Gardner on March 15, 1951, son of the late Raymond an Florence (Hanes) Sharron. He is also predeceased by his step-father Magnus Carlberg.

Stephen was employed as an independent owner/operator, working most recently through P.J. Keating Co. of Lunenburg and previously with P.J. Albert Inc. of Fitchburg. Prior to driving truck, he began his career as an automotive mechanic at Kangas' Garage in Gardner and Henry's Garage in Westminster before becoming a diesel mechanic for the former M.W. Clark Excavating Co. in Westminster, where he worked for many years. Stephen enjoyed aviation and aviation history, auto racing, fishing, and traveling to Florida. He was also a member of the Swedish Social Club in Westminster.

SHARRON -- Funeral Services and Burial will be private.

There are no Calling Hours.

A Celebration of Stephen's Life will be held at McNally's Grill and Pub, 88 Sergeant Road, Westminster, MA, on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 12:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made to the Ashburnham Westminster Foundation for Academic Excellence, 11 Oakmont Drive, Ashburnham, MA 01430.
