FITCHBURG -- Charles H. "Skip" Hastings Jr., 69, of Fitchburg, died Wednesday, October 3, 2012, in the Highlands in Fitchburg, after an illness.

He was born October 17, 1942 in Sterling, MA, the son of the late Charles H. Hastings and Evelyn (Anderson) Hastings.

He leaves his son, Charles H. Hastings III of Florida, three brothers, David Hastings, Stephen Hastings, and Timothy Hastings, all of Fitchburg; five sisters, Nancy Lagtienge of Pennsylvania, Patricia Hughey of Indiana, Mary Pepin, Kathy Watson, and Diane Partridge, all of Florida; and several grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

His brother, Roy Hastings, and a sister, Janet Weeks predeceased him.

Skip was a welder at Exxon Texas Refinery for 20 years, and was a member of the Whalom Auto Racing Association.

HASTINGS -- A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 2:00 pm in the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West St, Leominster.
