Loving mother, grandmother, and sister; 87

FITCHBURG -- Loretta B. (Richard) Murray, 87, of Fitchburg, a former longtime resident of Cascade Street, died Thursday, November 15, 2012, at her home.

Her husband of 52 years, John E. Murray Sr., died in July 1998.

Mrs. Murray was born in Fitchburg, September 11, 1925, a daughter of Vius and Sara (Bourque) Richard, and was lifelong resident of Fitchburg. She was a 1943 graduate of St. Bernard's Central Catholic High School.

She leaves her son and daughter-in-law, Jack E. and Patty Murray of Largo, Florida; two daughters, Barbara L. Murray and Edward Theriault of Shirley, Beverly A. Murray and her partner, Joann Yovino of Fitchburg; three sisters, Louise Cormier and her husband, Clancy of Fitchburg, Rita Langelier of Ashburnham, Doris Rimkus and her husband, Francis, of Shrewsbury; six grandchildren, Tara Crews, Atty. Jull Murray, Joseph Theriault, Shane Theriault Timothy Theriault and Cassidy Theriault; six great-grandchildren, Owen Crews, Brendan Crews, Iliana Theriault, Isabella Theriault, Elisa Theriault, and Colby Catterton.

She was predeceased by a son, Timothy Murray who died in 1958, and a grandson, Brendan Murray who died in 2000, and was the sister of the late Gerard Richard and Julie Cournoyer, both of Fitchburg.

Mrs. Murray worked several years for Cleghorn Oil Company, retiring in 1982. Previously, she had been the manager of the Wachusett Tennis & Racquet Club in Fitchburg.

She attended St. Joseph's Church in Fitchburg and Sacred Heart Church in West Fitchburg. She was a member of the Ladies of Ste. Anne, Retired Women's Club, Fitchburg Booster Club, American Friendship Club, Fitchburg Golden Agers, and Friends of Coggshall Park. She was and active member of the Ladies of Fatima and served nearly 20 years as its President.

MURRAY -- A funeral Mass will be celebrated
10 A.M., Wednesday, November 21st at St. Joseph's Church, 49 Woodland Street, Fitchburg. Prayers of committal will be offered at St. Joseph Cemetery.
