Loving husband, father, grandfather, brother
LUNENBURG -- David J. Pothier, 58, of Lunenburg, died unexpectedly in his home on Wednesday, Jan. 9.
He was born in Clinton, on Feb. 2, 1954, a son of the late, Marcel and Florence (Kobus) Pothier, and was raised in Leominster.
David was the co-owner of the Rousseau Painting Company. Several years ago, he worked alongside his brother as a mechanic at Marcel and Sons Garage in Leominster. He also owned and operated Applied Computers in Leominster.
David was a talented self taught musician who played several instruments. Through the years, he entertained many area residents performing in bands such as "Top Shelf" and "Double Take". He also had a passion for classic cars and enjoyed shooting with his dad and his brother at the North Leominster Rod and Gun Club.
He leaves his wife, Margaret (Keating) Pothier of Lunenburg; two daughters, Sarah Bosselman and her husband, John of Clinton, and Andi Hunter and her husband, Cory of Cheyenne, WY; a step-son, Rick Constantine of Fitchburg; a brother, Daniel "DJ" Pothier and his wife, Jeannine of Leominster; three sisters, Denise Lopez of Athol, Donna Rousseau and her husband, Michael, and Dianne Shultz and her husband, Matthew, all of Cape Coral, FL; eight grandchildren, Taylor, Gavin, Alex, Olivia, Cody, Ryan, and Josiah and Parker; and several nephews nieces and cousins.
POTHIER -- The funeral will be held on Monday, Jan. 14, from the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Cecilia's Church, 180 Mechanic St. Calling hours in the funeral home will be held on Sunday, Jan. 13, from 3 to 6 PM.
