TOWNSEND -- Marie E. (Barber) Carey Cadrette, 82, of Townsend, died Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at University of Massachusetts Hospital, Worcester with her family by her side.
Mrs. Carey-Cadrette was born in Greenfield, MA on June 25, 1930, a daughter of Walter E. and Rose (Kohler) Barber. She resided in Townsend for 60 years.
She was a member of St. John's Church in Townsend and the Yankee Ingenuiti T's Car Club. She was a former member of the Townsend Community Couples Club.
She leaves her husband of 15 years, Albert E. Cadrette and five daughters and their families, Kathy Carey of Fitchburg, Sandy & Dana Parkhurst of Ashby, Nancy Carey-Sheen of Ayer, Patty & Tom Aubuchon of Townsend, and Jean & Randy Nichols of Ashby; three stepdaughters, Anne Cadrette of Townsend, Janet Belville of Manchester, NH, Melinda Perkins of Nashua, NH; four stepsons, Jeffrey Cadrette of Milford, NH, Douglas Cadrette of Ayer, Anthony Cadrette of Leominster, John Cadrette of Townsend; three sisters, Katherine Burgoyne of Bar Harbor, ME, Mae Lashier of Norfolk, VA, Ethel Mulvaney of Greenfield, MA.
She also leaves 12 grandchildren, Kristin & Michela Carlson, Carey Parkhurst, Kelly, Lewis & Trisha Sheen, Ryan & Lexi Aubuchon, Ben Nichols, Tyler & Hannah Perkins, Terri Cadrette.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Walter D. Carey, in January 1994.
CAREY CADRETTE -- A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 A.M., Saturday, January 19, 2013 at St. John's Church, 1 School Street, Townsend. Burial will be at a later date.
