Marylou Miller Obituary
Marylou Miller
formerly of Fitchburg, MA

CARIBOU, MAINE -- Marylou Miller, formerly of Fitchburg, died suddenly on January 25, 2013 at the Bangor Maine Medical Center. Marylou was born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts on March 23, 1959 and was a 1977 graduate of St. Bernard's High School. Many years ago, she decided to move to Caribou, Maine. Marylou was a person who lived a quiet lifestyle in a secluded area. She was not a person who lived a glitzy glamorous life, but found peace with astronomy and the wilderness. She also had a fondness for her two cats, Jumper and Azlin, as she talked about them often. Marylou was blessed to be able to take a trip recently across the country. The trip would include visiting her daughter, Lizz, and grandchildren in Las Vegas, Nevada, which was priceless. This was a trip that was extra special because Marylou was not one to travel. She was able to do things that she never thought she would have been able to do. Marylou flew across the country on a plane, and then returned via train, which took four days. During her train trip she was able to see the country, which she thought was beautiful. The trip ended with many amazing memories that she talked of often upon her return to Caribou, Maine.

Marylou is survived by her children, Stephanie Jalette of Mapleville, Rhode Island, Elisabeth Dufault of Henderson, Nevada, Donald Dufault III of Merrimack, NH, Christian Miller of Portsmouth, VA, and 5 beautiful grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother, Theresa Miller of Lunenburg, sisters, Katie Miller of Portsmouth, NH, Patti Washburn of Ashburnham, Suzie Kowaleski of Winchendon, Diane Durkee of Ashburnham, Michele Leger of Fitchburg and her brother Joe Miller of Winchendon. Her father Vincent, her sister Lisa and her special daughter Sara pre-deceased her. In Caribou, Marylou enjoyed special friendships with Lorena and Reynold Michaud and Deanna T.

MILLER -- In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Marylou's name to causes that were important to her: Halfway Home Pet Rescue, PO Box 488, Caribou, ME 04736 or the Tiana Angelique Notice Foundation, PO Box 735, Gardner, MA 01440 (to end domestic violence). Graveside services will be held at a later date.
