Alexander Marrama
of Leominster; 81

LEOMINSTER -- Alexander Marrama, 81 years old, passed in his sleep at his and his son's home Saturday February 16 2013. He was born in Leominster on December 10, 1931 to Peline and Adeline (Consalvo) Marrama. He leaves his son and caregiver, Mark Marrama of Leominster, daughter Tracy Marrama of Leominster, son Michael Marrama of Chicago, Illinois, grandchildren Logan Alexander Marmara and Jason Mark Girouard, sisters Gilda Blaney and her husband Fred of Pennsylvania and Alice Rosario of Connecticut, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. Widowed by his one true love Judith (Connors) Marrama in November 1977. He was also preceded by his brothers Carmen, Frank and Bobby Marrama, and his sisters Barbara Killiella, and Mary Nicewicz.

After leaving employment at Borden Chemical, Alex also lovingly known as Uncle Sonny, PoPs and Grampy, enjoyed taking care of his family, home and yard. He also enjoyed spending time with long time friend Cliff Chartrand playing cards or haven a bite to eat. He always looked forward to Fridays with his group at the Senior Center and his favorite nurse Laural.

Alexander was a respected member of the community, was U.S. Army Veteran and was a member of St Anna's Church in Leominster.

Although Grampy was a quiet man, he could, and would, tell a good long story... and his famous words were..."ya want somethin to eat?"..are ya sure ya don't want somethin.... He will be greatly missed by his family and friends....

MARRAMA -- A prayer service will be held at 7 pm on Thursday, February 21, 2013 in the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster.

A calling hour will be held from 6 to 7 pm prior to the service in the funeral home. Flowers are welcome or you can make a memorial donation at the Leominster Senior Center, 5 Pond Street, Leominster, MA 01453. www.richardsonfuneralhome.net
