Michael P. Keane; 51
FITCHBURG -- Michael Patrick Keane, 51, of Fitchburg, died Thursday, April 18, in his home, after an illness.
He was born May 10, 1961, in Fitchburg, son of James C. Keane and Patricia (Calamare)Hollows. Michael was a 1979 graduate of Fitchburg High School. He was a talented, creative, and innovative contractor, for many years. He loved bass fishing and won many Bassmaster tournaments. He enjoyed fishing in various lakes in New England, including Lake Winnipesaukee. He also enjoyed ice fishing.
Beside his mother, Patricia Calamare Hollows of Fitchburg and his father, James C. Keane of Westminster, he leaves two daughters, Michelle Patricia Keane and her fiancée, Shawn Belmore of Townsend, and Mallory Margaret Craig of Brooklyn, NY; their mother, Paula Craig of Fitchburg; his brother, Christopher J. Keane and his husband, Kris Smith, of Somerville; and his dog, Delilah.
Michael was predeceased by his brother, Robert S. Keane, and his step-father, Ronald Hollows.
KEANE -- The funeral will be held Friday, April 26 at 6:00 PM at Smith-Mallahy-Masciarelli Funeral Home, 243 Water St., Fitchburg. Burial will be private.
