Loving father, son, and brother; 52
FITCHBURG -- Paul Murray, 52, of Fitchburg, died unexpectedly, on Friday morning, May 17, in his home.
He was born in Fitchburg, on Jan, 22, 1961, a son of the late, Lucy (Mistretto) Murray, and has lived in Fitchburg all of his life. He graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1979 where he was a standout football player.
Paul had worked most recently as the warehouse manager at Once Upon a Tile in Fitchburg, prior to that he worked several years as a manager of Hanover Sports in Waltham.
He was a former member of St. Bernard's Parish, the British American Club, and the Fitchburg Knights of Columbus, Joseph P. Keating Council #99 where he was a Past Grand Knight.
Paul's personality was larger than life, he could light up a room, he had the ability to make people laugh. So when you think of Paul, smile, he would want that.
He leaves his daughter, Lyndsay Murray of Fitchburg; his father, Robert Murray of Fitchburg; two brothers, John Murray of Fitchburg, and his twin, Peter Murray of San Bernardino, CA; three sisters, Kathleen Brody of Marblehead, Patricia Merrill of Killington, VT, and Margaret Anderson of Leominster; and several nephews and nieces.
MURRAY -- His funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 22, at 11 AM in the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home will be held on Tuesday, May 21, from 4 to 7 PM.
