FITCHBURG -- Ronald R. Casey, 79, of Fitchburg, MA, passed away in his home on June 8, 2013 with his family at his side.

He was born in Gardner, MA, on August 27, 1933, the son of Alphee and Esther (Jollie) Casey. He has lived in Fitchburg, MA, for over 30 years.

Ron was a utility worker of the former ITT Supernaut in Clinton, MA for 17 years and retired in 1995.

He served in the Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1956.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Leominster, MA. and also the Montachusett Twirlers Square Dance Group.

He was a member of St. Joseph's Church.

He is survived by his two daughters, Dawn M. Peterson, with whom he lived, of Fitchburg, MA, and Deanna M. Dolezal and her husband, Steven of Norfork, Nebraska; his sister, Odell Laramie; five grandchildren, Sarah, Cody, Paul, Phillip, and Megan.

CASEY -- At his request, all funeral services and Interment were private. There were no calling hours. The Lavery Chartrand & Alario Funeral Home, 99 Summer St., assisted his family with final arrangements.
