William R. Bingham, Jr.
lifelong resident of the Lunenburg area; 57

LEOMINSTER -- William R. Bingham, Jr., 57, a lifelong resident of the Lunenburg area, passed away at Health Alliance Hospital after a long battle with cancer.

He was born in Fitchburg on April 23, 1956 a son of Mary E. (Bickford) and the late William R. Bingham, Sr.

Besides his mother Mary E. Bingham of Lunenburg, Bill leaves his brother, David R. Bingham, of Columbus OH; sister, Julie E. (Bingham) McCool, of Reston VA; daughter, Ryann Brown, and granddaughter: Sadie Kennedy, of Gardner MA; daughter, Brandy Bingham, of Melrose, MA; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bill was a member of the Lunenburg High School class of 1974. He was a lifelong musician, playing keyboards and a variety of other instruments including drums, bass guitar, and sax. He was also a singer and recorded a CD in 2004, Easier Said Than Done, featuring some of his own music. Bill played in several area bands over the years including Twelve O'Clock High, Déjà vu, the Harms and Take Five.

Bill took on roles in productions at Stratton Playhouse and Theatre at the Mount and was an avid fan of productions featuring his daughter and granddaughter. He was an animal lover and enjoyed his cats, Lucy and Cookie.

Bill will be remembered by friends and family as a man with a great sense of humor who could perfectly recite any Three Stooges, Monty Python, and Andy Griffith routine... and often did.

He was predeceased by a sister, Deborah J. (Bingham) Foskin, who died in 1994, and a brother, Thomas B. Bingham, who died in 2012.
