FITCHBURG -- William J. Van Orden III, 52, formerly of Arlington Street, died Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at his residence.
Mr. Van Orden was born in Fitchburg, February 16, 1961, one of five children born to William J. and Patricia F. (Jennison) Van Orden Jr., and was a 1979 graduate of Fitchburg High School.
Following his graduation from high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served his country for two years. During his time of service, he was presented with the Good Conduct Medal.
Following his discharge from the armed services, he worked several years as a long haul truck driver.
He had been a member of the Crystal House in Gardner, as well as the Westwinds Club in Fitchburg.
Besides his parents of Fitchburg, he leaves his brother, Matthew J. Van Orden of Fitchburg, three sisters, Michelle E. Mills of Fitchburg, Renee R. Polakowski of West Boylston, and Nichole Ladouceur of Milford, NH. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
ORDEN -- A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 20th at St. Bernard's Parish celebrating at St. Camillus de Lellis Church, 333 Mechanic Street, Fitchburg. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Mr. Van Orden's family will receive family and friends from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Isabelle & Anderson Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon Street, Fitchburg.
