David Lauricella, 70
Beloved husband, father, and Grandfather

WESTMINSTER -- David Lauricella, 70, died Wednesday, January 1, 2014, at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Healthcare in Worcester, after an illness.

He leaves his beloved wife of 26 years, Janet (LeClair) Lauricella; 7 children: Thomas Connell, II, and his wife, Tracy, of Westminster; Kristine (Lauricella) LeClair of Westminster; Beth (Lauricella) McNeal and her husband, Ron, of Howell, MI; Heather Connell of San Marino, CA; Robert Lauricella and his wife, Cathleen, of Wake Forest, NC; Cheryl Lauricella of Westminster; and Ludwig Kraft and his wife, Anna, of Germany; 16 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Paul Lauricella of Worcester.

David was born on January 15, 1943, in Montaque, MA, son of the late Samuel C. and Mamie R. (Kantola) Lauricella. David graduated in the first graduating class of Oakmont Regional High School in 1961. After graduation, he joined the US Coast Guard and served 4 years as a Seaman. He then graduated from Mount Wachusett Community College with an Associate's Degree in Accounting. He worked for General Motors for 30 years as an International Finance Auditor traveling the world for his work.

David was an avid sports fan, who loved bowling and golfing. He was very active in his Church, Emanuel Lutheran of Fitchburg, where he was a worship assistant, a member of the Church Council and Financial Secretary for the Finance Committee. David loved to play with his grandchildren and he would often be found right in the middle of them getting dirty. David will be remembered by his family as a loving, selfless man, who was generous with his time.

LAURICELLA -- Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 1200 John Fitch Highway, Fitchburg, MA, at 3:00 p.m.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 P.M., in the Westminster Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Homes, 123 Main Street, Westminster, MA 01473.

Burial will be private at Woodside Cemetery, in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in David's name to the Emanuel Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 1200 John Fitch Highway, Fitchburg, MA 01420.
