Paul Bradford 'Buddy' Beers
Loving husband, father,

grandfather, and brother

LEOMINSTER -- Paul Bradford Beers, of Leominster, Massachusetts, died on June 4th, 2014 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on December 26, 1928 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. He is the son of the late Paul Barrett and Dorothy Bradford (Stevens) Beers, and was a lifelong resident of Leominster.

He graduated from Leominster High School in 1948. He was a past Master Councilor of the Order of DeMolay in 1947 and was a member of Wilder Lodge, A.F. & A.M. since 1951. He was a Korean War Veteran with the United States Navy from 1948 to 1952, serving as a Second class Aviation Metalsmith.

He continued with his late father's legacy, in the City of Leominster and National Elections. He was a Warden of Ward One in Leominster from 1943 to 1968. It's now known as Ward 1B. He was a Warden for forty years from 1968 - 2008 of Ward 1B.

He worked for New England Telephone and Telegraph for 39 years as an Installer, Test man and System Analyzer. (It's now known as Verizon but was also known as Nynex and Bell Atlantic) He retired in 1991.

He was a former Director of the Popponesset Beach Association of Mashpee, Massachusetts Cape Cod and a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Leominster, Massachusetts.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Glorinda J. (Fantozzi) Beers. They have a daughter, Deborah Anne and her husband, Mark T. Lavoie. They have three sons, Bradford Paul, Clifford John and Edward Alan.

There are four Grandchildren; three wonderful grandsons, Paul Bradford, Scott Jason, and Ryan Patrick-Nikin; and one cherished granddaughter, Amy Elizabeth Lavoie; his sister, Dorothy (Beers) Rodriguez; his brother-in-law, David Cozzens; beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Anne (Beers) Cozzens, Jane (Beers) Wood and her husband, Nelson, his brother-in-law, Earl B. Rodriguez; and three nephews, Bradford Rodriquez, Peter and Richard Wood.

There is a gathering of family and friends from 9:00 to 11:00 am on Saturday, June 14, 2014 in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Leo's Cemetery, Leominster. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
