Shirley Embury Obituary
Shirley V. Embury, age 73, of Fenton, died April 18, 2013. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Rev. Don Neuville will officiate. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Monday, 2-8 PM Tuesday. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project. Shirley was born April 13, 1940 in Fenton Twp., the daughter of Vern and Elizabeth (Wolverton) Sansam. She was a 4-H Leader for many years. Shirley enjoyed sewing, crocheting, traveling, gardening and baking. She loved spending time with her family, was known for arranging impromptu family gatherings, never forgot a birthday and was fondly referred to by her family as "Grandma Grandma". Surviving are: children, Dan (Julia) Embury, Tim (Vanessa) Embury, Kim (Terry) Bishop, Eric (Andrea) Embury; grandchildren, Nick, Bryan, Beth, A.J., Tim, Marc, Hope, Elizabeth, Joseph and Nathaniel; great-grandchildren, Alyvia, Luke, Layla and Annalise; brother, Robert (Geraldine) Sansam. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Florence (Louis) Kwiatkowski; grandsons, Austin, Ethan and Dominic. Online condolences may be posted on the obituaries page of
