It's so hard to put into words the feelings i have at this time. i only knew of devin i never got to know her personally that i can recall but i do know she was a great person who was loved by many and will be missed by all. i'm still in shock from this because too many people in this age group are gone and it scares me as well. i never had a sister but i have two daughters and i dont know what i would do if something like this would of happened to one of them. you all are in my thoughts and prayers and i hope that the fond memories stay forever.

I am so sorry to hear of her passing. I did not know who she was until I heard on the news that her last name was Ham. It was then that I realized I had went to school with her at SFHS. I knew Devin from South Florence High and I loved being around her! She always made you smile!!! She was always a joy and always cared about others! She was such a beautiful young lady! Its a shame that her life was taken so soon. My family and I are continuing to pray for the families strength in being able to heal from this loss and that justice will be served. Debbie, Shannon and family...I am so sorry to hear about Devin. My heart dropped when I heard the news. It seems like it was just yesterday that Shannon and Devin were cheering in middle school. She was a wonderful young lady with a lot of spirit. I pray that God grants you all peace during this time. I know that Devin will be missed by many but she is definitely in better place. I met Devin when I was a server/bartender at Chili's in Florence. I remember her never putting up with any of the drama that develops in a restaurant environment, however at the same time putting on a smile and having a great time with the co-workers she was friends with and especially the guests(despite how rude they might have been, this is just the way of customers). It wasn't until after she left Chili's though that she became very close to myself and my girlfriend at the time. Devin would come over fairly often to hang out and play with our dogs we had. She was definitely a fighter and knew how to make someone feel important, especially her friends and loved ones. I never got the chance to meet any of her family, but you have my deepest sympathy and prayers for what you are going through. Just remember that family is what is most important in times like these and that even though life isn't fair by any means, God does have plans for everyone, whether its blessings and sympathy for your family, or his wrath for those at fault. It truly was a gift to have had such an amazing friend in the small time I lived in Florence, and she will always be in my thoughts and prayers. Devin you're in a better place and will never be forgotten.
