JOHN DAVID MOORE

John David Moore N. MYRTLE BEACH - John David Moore, 73, passed away peacefully July 14th, 2011, in North Myrtle Beach. John David was born in Kingstree on November 7th, 1938. He was a son of the late Frances H. Moore of the Pergamos community of Williamsburg County and the late J. W. Moore, Jr. of Florence County. John David was raised in the Pergamos community, attending school in Lake City. After high school, he attended the University of South Carolina before entering Emory University School of Dentistry. After completing dental school, John David served two years in the United States Navy. After his military service, he joined Dr. J. C. Pennington in Mauldin, South Carolina, and they practiced dentistry for over thirty years together. John David became disabled in 1995 and moved to North Myrtle Beach. John David's surviving family includes his wife, Carolyn A. Wharton, of North Myrtle Beach; his two daughters, Dana Moore Jackins (Alex), of Vienna, Virginia and Lorie Moore Lower (Brad), of Fort Mill; his four grandchildren; and his brother, Wilson Moore (Linda), of Jacksonville, Florida. The family of John David will have visitation from one until three o'clock p.m., Sunday, July 17th, 2011 in the funeral home. Graveside funeral services for John David will be held at three o'clock p.m., Sunday, July 17th, 2011 in Cook Cemetery.
