Albert Armand Belanger

FLORENCE -- Albert Armand Belanger, 88, died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2002, in a Florence hospital after an illness.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Mount Hope Cemetery, directed by Waters-Powell Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Belanger was born in Bristol, R.I., a son of the late Albert Adelard and Virginia Moisan Belanger. He was the widower of Edna Elaine Towers Belanger.

He was the manager of Wenworth Manufacturing Company until his retirement. Mr. Belanger was a member of Central United Methodist Church. He was a former member of the Florence Country Club and was an avid golfer with two holes in one.

Surviving are a daughter, Virginia B. Johnson of Charleston; a son, Albert Charles (Kay) Belanger of Surfside Beach; a sister, Rita B. Webster of Fall River, Mass.; four granddaughters, Karen Collucci, Kristen Cole, Kelly Johnson, and Kate Johnson; and four great-granddaughters.
