Darrell Keith Gandy DARLINGTON - Darrell Keith Gandy, 48, of Darlington died on Saturday, May 19, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 21, 2012 at 4 PM in the Mechanicsville Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery directed by Kistler Hardee Funeral Home. Darrell was born in Florence, South Carolina. He was a member of Mechanicsville Baptist Church where he was baptized last July. Darrell loved sports. Whether it is baseball, football, racing, or wrestling, he loved it all, all except the New York Yankees. He was known for his extensive hat collection and had one for almost every sports team and NASCAR racing team. Darrell was a gift from God. He was shared with his family and the community for almost fifty years and now we return him to the Lord. Surviving are his mother Carolyn M. Gandy of Darlington; his brother, Arthur "Artie" Gandy, Jr. and wife, Tammy of Darlington; his nephews, Justin Gandy of Conway and Brooks Gandy of Columbia; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. His father, Arthur Irving Gandy, Sr., preceded Darrell in death. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Kistler Hardee Funeral Home and other times at the residence, 1509 Cashua Ferry Road, Darlington.
