Steve Glen Dorriety TIMMONSVILLE - Steve Glen Dorriety, 60, died on Saturday, March 9, 2013 in a Florence assisted living facility. A graveside service will be Monday, March 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Sparrow Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be today (Sunday) from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Steve was born in Florence County, the son of the late Victor and Thelma Floyd Dorriety. He was a machine operator for General Electric. Surviving are a son, Stephen Joseph "Joey" (Janina) Dorriety, Winterville, NC; a daughter, Jennifer Gwen (AL) Dorriety Elias, Greenville, NC; four brothers, Charles (Linda) Dorriety, Lamar, Ronnie (Annette) Dorriety, Dennis (Kathy) Dorriety Wayne (Cheryl) Dorriety all of Timmonsville; three sisters, Dianne (Robbie) Nesbitt, Lynchburg, Faye McElveen, Florence, Cindy Thigpen, Timmonsville and two grandchildren, Justin Elias, Jasper Dorriety. Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, 4210 W. Palmetto Street, Florence is assisting the family with arrangements.
