Theodore J. Housman

Theodore J. Housman, 83 of Melbourne FL, passed away February 17, 2014, at Carnegie Gardens Nursing Center.
Born and raised in Winthrop, MA, he grew up with boats and hand tools as his constant companions…Joining the Navy after high school, Ted served as an aviation electronics engineer during the Korean conflict. He worked as a tool and die engineer in the radio electronics business and then in computer manufacturing for many years.
He married his high school sweetheart, Marlene, in 1952, and together they raised their family in Newton, MA and Miami, FL. Ted's outstanding talent with tools and electronics made him legendary among his friends and family, earning him the endearing title of "Doctor of Re-genesis" for his ability to fix just about anything. His endless sense of humor and quick wit as well as his love for family are remembered by all.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marlene, and their children, Ronald (Susan) Housman of Boston, MA, Dr. Keith (Holly) Housman of Savannah, GA, three grandchildren Seth, Hope, and Noah Housman. Two brothers, Arthur (Mary) and Steven (Susan) Housman.
Services will be at Beckman Williamson Funeral Home, 5400 Village Drive, Viera, Florida 32955, Sunday, February 23, 2014 at noon.
Contributions in his memory to Brevard County Stroke group or to Health First Hospice.

Dear Housman Family & Relatives
Sorry to hear about your loss. May God give you strength to cope and be comforted by all of His promises. He will “heal the broken hearted ones and bind up their painful spots” and he “is near to all those calling on him” - Psalm 147:3; Psalm 145:18. Lean on your loves ones and our heavenly Father's ability to strengthen you during the days ahead.

Our heavenly father knows the pain you are going through, he promises that he will “heal the broken hearted ones and bind up their painful spots” and he “is near to all those calling on him” - Psalm 147:3; Psalm 145:18. May the “God of all comfort” be with your family and may your cherish memories of your loved one be a healing force of strength for your family to draw on.
