To Penny and the Goode Family:

Dick's kindness and sincere friendship to so many of us was an inspiration that touched all of us and made this a better community. We will miss him greatly but we all will have the legacy he left us. So sorry I cannot attend Friday's service. I am in Raleigh visiting my brother, a trip I had planned for weeks. We will remember all of you in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless You All.

So sorry to read this. Dick was very well known and well liked. A cornerstone of the community. My father, Adger Smith, spent many hours in his tackle shop. I remember going with him in my earlier years! May God be with all of you and give you peace. Al & Connie (Smith) Bruce.
