Ralph Cullum Obituary


Ralph Clifton (Bud) Cullum, 85, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Holmes Regional Medical Center, Melbourne, Florida after an extended illness. He was born in Parkersburg, WV on October 18, 1927, son of the late Ralph and Belva Cullum, also of Parkersburg.

Bud graduated in 1946 from Parkersburg High School and was retired from the Ames Shovel Plant. He also worked for the B&O Railroad. He was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in the Asiatic Pacific during World War II. Bud is a member of the Elks Club, the American Legion, the VFW and the Melbourne Beach Community Chapel.

He is survived by Ginny, his loving wife and soulmate of 22 years. He is also survived by three children, Randy (Julie), Curt (Chris) and Jane Cullum; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Cullum; one great-grandson, Gabriel Cullum; two step-daughters, Angie Graziani (Joe) and Lori Zielinski (Mark); seven step-grandchildren and four great-step-grandchildren.

Bud was a kind, gentle and good man, he's going to be missed by everyone who had the honor of calling him a friend.

A full military graveside service will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Parkersburg, WV at a later date.
