Cynthia Bond Obituary


Cynthia Stafford Bond, age 56, Marietta, GA, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2012, surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Cindy was born in Cleveland, OH, and grew up in Melbourne and Indian Harbour Beach, FL. She graduated from Satellite High School in 1974 and completed her education at Auburn University, graduating with a degree in Special Education and Behavioral Disorders. She taught for thirteen years, prior to staying home to raise her family.

Cindy volunteered with various Christian organizations. She loved to read, write letters, visit the mountains of NC and travel the world. She loved photography, and created a memory book after each trip. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Cindy is survived by her devoted husband of thirty-one years, Hugh Bond of Marietta; her son and his wife, Bret and Jenni of Canton; her daughter and her husband, Whitney and Stephen Willcox of Canton; three precious granddaughters, Alaina and Addison Bond and Annaleise June Willcox; her sister and her husband, Betsy and Doug Tribe of Palm Bay, FL; her dad and step-mom, Bob and Alice Stafford of Glenville, NC; four nieces and three nephews. Her mom, June Stafford, predeceased her.

A celebration of her life will be on Thursday, November 15, 2012, 11:00 a.m., at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church, 955 Johnson Ferry Road, Marietta. Internment and celebration will follow on Saturday, November 17, 2012, 11:00 a.m., at Glenville Wesleyan Church, Glenville, NC.

In lieu of flowers, you may contribute to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, BGEA, 1 Billy Graham Pkwy., Charlotte, NC. 28201.
