Karen W. Bammert, 58, passed away peacefully Monday, June 17, 2012 at William Childs Hospice House. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland and has lived in Satellite Beach for the last 18 years.
Karen worked at Space Coast Credit Union for 15 years, where she won numerous awards for being a top producer. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and was the past president of the Cocoa Beach Elkettes. Karen was a caring and loving person who loved helping people and making them laugh with her zany antics and quick wit.
Karen is survived by her loving husband, Nick; daughters, Greta and Hannah; step-son, Nicholas; sister, Christine Brown; brothers, Stephen, Keith and Paul Weber; numerous nieces and nephews; and her dear friend, Sandy Vincur, who was a blessing to our family in our time of need. We also want to thank Hospice of Health First for their outstanding care they provided for her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, June 22nd at Cocoa Beach Community Church, 126 S. Atlantic Avenue. She will be interned at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.

Many, many years ago, a very pretty, extremely pleasant and very efficient Karen Weber was my dental assistant, baby sitter for my 3 children, and our family friend.
It is with great sadness that we hear of her untimely loss, and our profound sympathies to her family and friends.

I am so sorry for your loss. Karen and I would share stories because we both were born at the same place and same year. Her family is in my prayers.

Rest in peace my friend. Karen & I worked 15yrs together at the credit union. She and I became the "Lucy & Ethel" of the IHB branch. To entertain each other, we would call each other these names to lighten our day. Karen always wanted to do what she thought was right in her heart for others. In doing so, she was our number one producer in No. Brevard Region of SCCU. She held this title for many, many years. As for me, she was always there for me; oh the trouble we would get into! She will be in my heart always, and one of my dearest friends. I will miss you my "Sista!"

With Deepest sympathy to the family of Karen Bammert! I knew Karen when she worked at Space Coast Credit Union at Patrick AFB. She was a very nice lady and I love coming to the branch to talk with her. She surely will be missed by everyone. My heart goes out to Karen's family and friends. May God give you the peace you need right now during this time of sorrow.

In the almost 5 years that we worked together, not a day went by that she didn't have me cracking up many times throughout the day. Karen's knack for making others laugh was truly a blessing to others. I'll never forget the "turkey calls" between PAFB and CB branches. We had so much fun. Her love for her family was enormous and she was always talking about them. We had some fun times even after I left SCCU and wish we would have kept up with each other more, besides on email. She will truly be missed! May God bring you comfort Nick and family during this hard time. Lean on Him for strength. God Bless.
