Bertsch, Bette M.*  
Bette M. Bertsch Rockledge Bette M. Bertsch, 86, died Thursday April 28, 2016, after a long battle with ALS and diabetes.  She attended high school in Norwich, N.Y., where she met her husband who was serving in the military and did not return from the war.  Bette and her two daughters moved to Binghamton, N.Y. where she was employed by Link Co. making training simulators for airline pilots, and later for the astronauts.  In 1967 she transferred to Kennedy Space Center to work in the Flight Crew Training building where the astronauts trained.  When the Apollo Program ended she moved to Tampa, where she worked for a community newspaper as a reporter and attended Hillsborough community College.  When the space program picked up, she returned to work for Planning research and later EG&G where she met and married Lloyd Bertsch.  In 1990 they retired, bought an RV and traveled to all 49 continuous states, Nova Scotia and Canada.  In 1996 they spent three weeks in Hawaii.  She enjoyed gardening, needle-work, sewing and traveling. She is preceded by her husband Lloyd Bertsch, daughter Barbara Lee and step-son Micheal Bertsch.  She is survived by daughter Linda O'Dell, four grandchildren; Cindi Grenet (Mack), Breck Opeka (Chevon), Sean O'Dell (Magan) and Kerry LaMaster.  Great-great grandchildren Brandi Pharr, Amber Lockhart (Randy), Skyler and Jade Opeka; Cody, Tommy, Drew and Abagail Grace O'Dell; Hayden and Matthew LaMaster; and two Great-great grandchildren Londyn Lockhart and Baby Strazi.  She is also survived by one sister Lucy Conant (Robert) of Norwich N.Y and sister-in law and brother-in-law George and Virginia Wallin of Salt Lake City Utah and many nieces and nephews.  There will be no services.  You may sign Bette's guestbook at www.beckmanwilliamsonviera.com .

Boyle Jr., John H.*  
John H. Boyle, Jr. Satellite Beach Family and friends are invited to attend a committal service for John H. Boyle, Jr. to be held at Florida Memorial Gardens, 5950 S. US Hwy. 1, Rockledge, Florida at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2016. John (aka "Hal") from Satellite Beach, was 64 when he passed on March 28, 2016.  After residing in Orlando for many years, John lived and worked around Brevard County for the past ten years.  A contribution to a community food bank in his memory is suggested in lieu of flowers.

Brightman, Donald*  
Donald Eric Brightman Indian Harbour Beach Donald went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 17, 2016. Donald was born February 9, 1959 to the late James L. Brightman, Sr. and Cora Nancy Stepney Brightman. Donald attended Brevard County schools and graduated from Rockledge High School in 1977.  He attended Florida Memorial University in Miami, Florida before serving a short stint in the U.S. Air Force.  Donald had a love for dancing, entertainment and travel. Donald was preceded in death by his father James, Sr. and his sister Cynthia; Donald is survived by his mother Cora Nancy Brightman, one sister Nancy Gayle Justice (Andrew), three brothers Anthony W. Brightman, Sr. (Cathey), James L. Brightman, Jr. (Sarah) and his twin brother Ronald D. Brightman (Michelle). A memorial service to honor Donald's life will be held Thursday, April 28 at 2:00 p.m. at Greater St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. Professional services are entrusted to Buggs Funeral Home.

Buchanan, Jean*  
Jean Buchanan Titusville Jean Buchanan passed away in her home on April 19, 2016 at the age of 92.  She was born and raised in Virginia.  In 1945 she married Donald Buchanan.  She was a homemaker, raised their 4 children and took care of her mother.  In 1956 the family moved to Huntsville AL where she was active with their church and loved to help take care of people.  In 1965 NASA moved the family to Titusville.  Jean was a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church where she participated with the Women's Missionary Union.  She went on mission trips to the Philippines, Switzerland and the Ivory Coast.  She was a past president of NASA Wives, a Gray Lady at Jackson Junior High School, member of the Literacy League, a past Regent of the Indian River Chapter of the DAR and a member of the UDC.  Jean loved to read, play card games, word games and travel.  Everyone loved her smile and her humor. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Donald (married 59 years), sons Michael and Lee, her parents and brother Carl.  She is survived by her daughters, Suellen Chandler (Mike) of Pebble Beach, CA and Joanne Scully (Tim) of Lakewood, WA, daughter in law, Barbara Solow of Ft. Collins, CO, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be a viewing at North Brevard Funeral Home on Thursday, April 28th from 5-7pm.  The funeral will be held at Park Avenue Baptist Church in Titusville on Friday, April 29th at 11:00am.  In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to Hospice of St. Francis or The Lord's Garden at Park Avenue Baptist Church.

Robert M. Bullock Greenville,SC Robert "Bob" Bullock, 87, passed away on April 15, 2016 in Greenville, SC. He is survived by his daughter Patricia Armet, 2 granddaughters and 3 great grandsons. A memorial service will be held at the Melbourne Moose Lodge #1406 at a later date.
