Alexander, Frances*  
Frances P. Alexander Melbourne, FL Frances Pearl Alexander, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, in Melbourne, Florida. She was born Frances Pearl Walberg, the daughter of Arthur G. and Marie Walberg, on February 15, 1921 in Kearny, New Jersey.  On March 3, 1942 she married Waitman E. Alexander and they shared 72 precious years together. She embraced her role as wife and mother and put others needs before her own. When the family moved to North Miami Beach in 1955, she enjoyed the casual lifestyle and was an avid swimmer, bowler, and golfer. She enjoyed playing games and could beat most anyone at Scrabble.  She was happiest when everyone was together and loved family gatherings. Pearl is survived by her children, Nancy Oates (Nathaniel) of Covington, GA; Barbara Alexander of Toledo, OR; Waitman Alexander, Jr. (Kathleen) of Melbourne, FL; Thomas Alexander (Bunny), of Stone Mountain, GA; and Francis Timothy Alexander, of Monticello, GA.  She is also survived by her sister, Marie Rose Walberg, of Toms River, New Jersey; and brother, Thomas Joseph Walberg of Mansfield, GA; Eight grandchildren and Eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur G. and Marie Walberg; husband Waitman E. Alexander; her brothers Arthur Walberg, Jr and Francis Walberg; and sister Marilyn Hartman. Duch, Edward J. "EJ"*  
Edward J "EJ" Duch Melbourne Edward J. Duch (EJ) 60, passed away peacefully April 26, 2015.EJ was born at Patrick Air Force Base, on February 24, 1955 to the late Edward and Marion Duch. He worked 32 years for multiple contractors and on various programs at CapeCanaveral Air Force Station and Kennedy Space Center Florida.EJ was an avid African Art collector. Offshore fishing and diving in the Florida Keys was a passion for him.EJ is survived by the "Love of his life" Robin of 30 years, sister Beverly Bragg, nephew, Jeff Bragg and niece, Candice Langhans (James), mother in law, Shirley Mckee, sisters in law, Vivian Mahoney (Don), Rose  McFadden (Doug), Johnnie Davis (Steve), fifteen nieces and nephews andtwo  aunts.A private Celebration of Life will be at a later  date. Gloria Grant Melbourne Gloria Marie Kenmar Grant passed away April 27th, 2015. She was born in Mobile, Alabama to Albert and Mary Kenmar. She is survived by her son, Neal Wayne (Sara) Grant Jr.; daughter, Cynthia Marie (Gregory) Beers; granddaughters, Wendy Denise Grant, Alisha Donna Grant and grandson, Shannon Jin Beers. Her memorial service will be held 2:00 pm, May 9th, 2015 at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Indialantic, FL. Heater, Robert  
Robert John Heater Brevard, FL Robert John Heater, age 84, of Marion, died Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Marion General Hospital. Bob was born July 28, 1930 in Paulding County, Ohio to the late William and Iona (Sickmiller) Heater.  Bob married Josephine Weir-Fox on January 1, 2005; she survives. Surviving are children, Robert (Allison) Heater, Jr. of Florida, Jennifer Heater of Florida, Randi Heater of Florida  and Alex (Kim) Heater of Florida; 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; nephews and a  niece.  He is predeceased by daughters, Debra Heater Cole and Tracy Heater; and siblings, William Heater and Elizabeth Heater and family of deceased wife Dorothy Holland. A Funeral Service celebrating Bob's life will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger and Snyder Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Pastor Brett Cornelius will officiate and burial will follow at the Marion Cemetery with Military Honors. Memorial donation may be made in Bob's honor to the Wyandot County Humane Society. Hoffman Jr., Francis*  
Francis J. Hoffman Jr Indialantic FL Francis J. Hoffman Jr. Lt. Col. U.S. Air Force (retired) born 1924 in Jersey City, New Jersey, son of the late Francis J. Hoffman Sr. and Mary Jones Hoffman, died in his ninetieth year at the home of his daughter Joan and son in law Sargent Major G. Vern Barrow.  He is predeceased by his beloved wife Margaret Cooke Hoffman of Bayonne, New Jersey. They are the parents of eight children. Daughters Karen of New York City, Joan Barrow of East Hartford CT, Susan Hoffman of Newburyport MA, Ann Scanlon of Colchester CT. Sons, Michael of Leesburg, FL, Peter of Camp Hill, PA, Robert of Crucita Ecuador and David of West Hartford CT. Nineteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and a tribe of nieces and nephews.  As a young man, Frank Hoffman enlisted in the US Army Air Corp and served as Gunner on the B-24 bombers assigned to the 8th Air Force 2nd Division 489 Squadron which flew out of East Anglia, United Kingdom from April of 1944 to Dec 1944 earning numerous decorations including the Air Medal with three oak leaf clusters. After WWII he transferred to the reserves and eventually became a police officer in Jersey City. The Air Force beckoned again and with a young family with small children he reentered active duty after graduating from Florida Southern College where he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant. His active duty career included service in the Republic of Viet Nam with the 35th Security Police Squadron. Additional decorations included the Bronze Star and the Air Force Distinguished Service Medal. When Colonel Hoffman retired from the Air Force he continued public service as the Chief of Police in Glastonbury Connecticut from 1970 to 1987. During his tenure as Chief the Glastonbury Police Department became the first nationally accredited department in the state of Connecticut.  Frank and Marge moved to Indialantic Florida in retirement. He was a communicant at the parish of Saint Paul in Glastonbury Connecticut. The family wishes to give their heartfelt and sincere thanks to the Beacon Hospice team; especially Tommy, Butch, Angela, and Justin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Monday, May 4, at 10 a.m. in St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury. Burial with Military Honors will be held in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Calling hours will be Sunday, May 3 from 12-4 p.m. at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. Walter Jackson Melbourne Walter "Jack" Jackson  passed away peacefully  at William Childs Hospice House on Tuesday,  April 28, 2015. Jack was born in Philadelphia, PA. He served 17 years in the  USAF, and lived in the Melbourne/Palm Bay area.  Jack is survived by his daughters; Sheryl Ray and Sandra Carter; sister, Naomi McNulty, and granddaughters, Katie  and Frankie. A Memorial Gathering will be held at Beach Funeral Home, 4999 N Wickham Rd, Melbourne, on Monday, May 4, 2015, from 10-11, with the Memorial Service at 11.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to  cancer research, Honor Flight and St. Jude. Link Johnsten Melbourne Link Johnsten, 63, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015 at his home in Melbourne, FL. He was born August 25, 1951 in Canton, OH to the late Hugh and Jane Johnsten. Link leaves his memory to be cherished by his wife of 40 years, Alexis; children, Christopher Johnsten, Elizabeth Grezaffi and Jennifer Johnsten; grandchildren, Jet and Lilyann; siblings, Linda (John) Baillie, Lorrie Johnsten, Larry Johnsten and Lisa Johnsten.
