Anne Delaney, resident of Melbourne, Florida, longtime resident of Fredericton, New Brunswick, and originally from Newton, Massachusetts, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2014, surrounded by loved ones.
Anne was born in Newton, Massachusetts to Charles and Margaret Delaney. She attended Saint Thomas College at the University of New Brunswick, and married Robert Hawkins in 1984.
Known for her quick wit, intellect and sense of humor, Anne was loved everywhere she went. People were drawn to her and her ability, and willingness, to empathize with individuals from all walks of life.
Anne was a former U.S. Customs Inspector and worked at the Melbourne International Airport. Prior to coming to Melbourne, Annie was a social worker in Fredericton.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Hawkins, her children, Lesley and Daniel Delaney Hawkins, and the many, many people who loved her.
