Betty Conway Egnoski

Betty Conway Egnoski of Melbourne, Florida, passed away on June 10 at the age of 88.

She will be missed by her five daughters: Susan Egnoski, Diane Kroell, Carolyn Watson, Christine Jonas and Tina Egnoski; four sons-in-law, Scott Kroell, John Watson, Edward Jonas and Dan O'Mahony; and eight grandchildren: Katherine, Victoria, Kristen, William, Tyler, Emma, Amelia and Patrick.

Betty was born on Pelee Island, Ontario, Canada and spent her childhood in Battle Creek, Michigan. She married Thaedeus Egnoski in 1946. They were married for 51 years, until his death in 1997. As an Air Force family, they traveled the country and Europe before settling in Melbourne in 1957. Along with raising a family, she volunteered with the Hospital Auxiliary and Reach for Recovery.

Her creative endeavors, including ceramics, sewing, needlework and gardening, brought her happiness as well as friendship in the community. An avid collector of antique dolls, she was a charter member and past president of the Space Coast Doll Club. Betty was known as a loving wife, mother and grandmother, a loyal friend and compassionate volunteer. She will be remembered fondly for the unconditional love she provided to her daughters. She brought a positive attitude to all she did and this outlook on life will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A private service will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
