Helen Yvonne Antalek
Helen (Yvonne) Ramsey Antalek died peacefully on Saturday February 1, 2014 at the Dr. Jey Pillai Center for Hospice Care at Wasdin Woods in Rockledge after a short illness. Yvonne was born in Miami in 1925 to Henry Kellum, Sr. and Helen Magruder Ramsey. She was preceded in death by her parents, three siblings, and her husband of 51 years Louis T. Antalek.
She is survived by her son James G. Tibbetts, III and his wife Benny of Merritt Island. Locally, she is survived by her niece Patricia (Ron) Marchetti. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews living in other areas.
Yvonne was a life-long resident of Rockledge as a descendent of the Ramsey and Magruder families, early pioneers in Brevard County. The city of Rockledge was named for the homestead of her great grandfather, Cephas Bailey Magruder, the first mayor of Rockledge in 1887. She worked for many years in civil service at the Banana River Naval Air Station and, as it later became, Patrick Air Force Base
Yvonne requested no services, but those wishing to make a memorial donation might consider Wuesthoff Hospice and Palliative Care, 8060 Spyglass Hill Road, Viera, FL, 32940.
