James A. Sinclair, MSgt. Retired USAF, 73, of Titusville, FL, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2013, peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones.
Jim was born June 22, 1939, in Chicago, IL, the son of James Sinclair and Fern Garnham Sinclair. He joined the United States Air Force
in 1956. Jim was united in marriage to Beverly J. Maston Sinclair on June 18, 1960.
With 25 years of service to our country in the Air Force, he retired in 1981 and moved to Titusville, FL. In 1984, Jim started his second career working for the Brevard County Sheriff's Department as a correctional officer at the Brevard County Jail. Jim retired as a Lieutenant from the Sheriff's Department in June 2003.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Beverly of 52 years; two children, Diana L. Webber (T. J.) of Mims, FL and James J. Sinclair (Eric Brown) of St. Louis, MO; two grandsons whom he cherished, James A. Webber of St. Petersburg, FL and Christopher R. Webber of Merritt Island, FL.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his Uncle Don Sinclair of Titusville, and his brother, Daniel Newkirk. He has three surviving siblings, Donald Sinclair (Dawn) of Marseilles, IL, Charlotte McCasland (late Randy) of Hammond, IN and Ronald Sinclair (Mary) of Vero Beach, FL.
One of Jim's great joys was his 30 plus year membership and participation in the North Brevard Shrine Club. Jim was a beloved and long-standing active member. His presence will be greatly missed.
Jim was a member of Mims United Methodist Church, McCleod Masonic Lodge #424 of Ocean Springs, MS, the Scottish Rite of Orlando, the Azan Shrine Temple of Melbourne, the Order of Quetzalcoatl - Teocalli #136, and the American Legion Post One of Titusville.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00pm on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at North Brevard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, April 25, 2013, at the funeral home with The Reverend John Fisher officiating. Graveside services will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.Memorials in Jim's honor are suggested to Shriners Hospitals for Children - Tampa.
