Joseph Bruce Duncan, Sr., 80 years, passed away peacefully at Viera Hospital in Viera, FL, after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born in Columbus Country, NC, September 9, 1932.
He was an auto body repairman, worked at McCotter Ford in Titusville, and also owned and operated Brevard Paint and Body Shop in Cocoa for 38 years. He retired at 75 years of age.
He was the son of the late Jim Duff Duncan and Mary Callie Duncan (Hargrove). He was also predeceased by his sister, Lucille Hilburn; and brother-in-law, Vernon Hilburn. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 57 years, Joanne (McKee) Duncan; his daughter, Lucinda Anne Duncan; son, Joseph Bruce Duncan, Jr., and his wife, Beth Ann; grandson, Bryan Pagni, Jr.; sisters, Louise Fowler (Joe, deceased), Titusville, FL, Betty Stewart (Jerry, deceased), Columbis, SC, Carolyn Herring (Billy), Tabor City, NC; sister-in-law, Betsy McKee (Silvan, deceased), Whiteville, NC; thirteen special nieces and nephews, many great-nieces and nephews, and also great-great-nieces and nephews. He came from a loving family that will surely miss him.
Calling hours will be on Saturday, April 13, 2013, from 1-2 PM, followed by services at 2 PM, at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home.
