Kay Tuohy passed away at age 100, in Viera, Florida, on Wednesday, November 14, 2012. She was born in County Mayo, Ireland, and was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Michael, in 1999. They had been married for 62 years.
She is survived by 2 sons, Michael (Pat) of Kennewick, Washington, Dr. Vincent (Marion) of Broadview Heights, Ohio; and two daughters, Margaret (Lee) Thivierge of Floral Park, New York and Patricia (Dr. Robert) Hackett of Melbourne, Florida; ten grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Kay and her husband, Mike, spent their lives in service to their community and church. Kay moved from Clearwater, Florida to Glenbrooke in Palm Bay seven years ago and when her health declined a year ago she moved to Watersong Retreat, in Viera, where she passed away.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Wuesthoff Hospice.
There will be a mass to celebrate her life at St. Michael the Archangel Church on Monday, November 19, at 1 pm, Clearwater. Visitation is at 11 am, at Eternal Rest Funeral Home, Belcher Road, Dunedin.
