Leopold A. Wilson
Leopold A. "Leo" Wilson, 86, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2013. He was born June 13, 1927, in Panama, to the late Adolphus Wilson and Marian Anderson, and move to the United States in 1952. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army
. Leopold relocated to Titusville in December 2003 from New York City. He had a long career with the NYC Postal Service and retired as a supervisor in Manhattan. This position eventually allowed him to serve as a union delegate which gave him the opportunity to travel around the country on behalf of the members of his local chapter. He attended and participated in conventions which led to changes and reform. An avid baseball lover, he enjoyed watching all types of sports. His favorite times were celebrating and spending time with family and friends. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he will be deeply missed.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Myrtilla Wilson; daughter, Lorene Gentry; son, Dwayne Wilson; seven grandchildren, Darnel, Nia, Samantha, Ariel, Sabrina, Serena and Andrew; and three sisters, Katey Cox, Evelyn Jordan and Mabel Walker. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Vivian Wilson; and siblings, George, Beatrice, Reginald, Mavis and Cecil.
A celebration of Leo's life will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, October 10, 2013, at North Brevard Funeral Home in Titusville, with visitation one hour prior.
