Lydia Ruth Carr, 73, of Palm Bay died Friday, August 1, 2014 at her home. A native of Orlando, she came to Palm Bay in 1968. Ruth had worked for Storage Tech as a materials planner for several years and then for Hallmark Cards. One of her favorite hobbies was creating greeting cards. She was an avid reader, loved to swim, and also loved her cats, but more importantly, she loved her family. She was an Episcopalian by faith.

Survivors include her son, John (Donna) of Melbourne; daughters, Debbie (David) Bistarkey of Micco, Chris (Joe) Hackford of Indialantic; brother, Alfred 'Fred' (Connie) Pearson of Tampa; sister, Madeline (David) Snyder of Utah; grandchildren, Jason, Jennifer, Lindsey, Branden, Ashleigh, Alex, Taryn; and great-grandchildren, Blane and Bryce.

Please join the family for a Celebraton of Life for Ruth, Saturday, August 9th, 2 - 5 p.m. at POW-MIA Park Community Bldg, 5995 N. Hwy 1, Melbourne.
