Mary H. Garrod, after 91 wonderful years in this world, passed away in her home in Titusville, Florida on December 11, 2012. Mary was born August 23, 1921 in Atlanta, Georgia to George J and Effie Holt Ryan.
Mary met Theodore R. Garrod in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. They were married on August 4, 1950.
Mary was first and foremost a loving wife, mother and great grandmother. Mary served over thirty years as Precinct Clerk with the Brevard County Supervisor of Elections. As a member of the Sports Car Club of America, Mary served as a volunteer event worker at international automobile races including the 24 Hours of Daytona and Sebring endurance races.
Survivors are her husband of 62 years, Theodore R. Garrod of Titusville; two sons, William Richard Hughlett, and wife Bonnie of Winter Park, FL: and Theodore A. Garrod, and wife Jean of Kissimmee, FL; Stepson William Edward Garrod and his wife Nancy of Murphy, NC; two sisters, Shirley Bulka of Clarksburg, WVA, Veronica Hilderbrand of Titusville, FL; grandsons William Hughlett of Berwyn, Illinois and Benjamin Hughlett and his wife Kristi of Altamonte Springs, FL; grandson James B. Garrod and wife Brooke of Ashville, NC; grandaughter Wendy Garrod and husband Larry Jones of Las Vegas, NV; and close family friends Elizabeth Nething and John and Janet Becker of Titusville, FL.
