Pauline Duckworth, 99, of Merritt Island, passed away Friday, March 14, 2014. She was born in Springfield, MO, on March 12, 1915.
Pauline was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Merritt Island, and the Red Hat Society. She was a past member of Space Trackers Square Dance Club, KARS Ceramics and also delivered for Meals on Wheels. Pauline retired from her profession of Interior Designing and in later years she managed an Assisted Living Facility and was an Apartment Manager.
Known for her love of gardening, she was also a talented painter, seamstress and photographer.
She is survived by her four daughters, Patricia Brown, Merritt Island, Barbara Hoffman (husband Jack), Merritt Island, Paulette Hollis (husband Gary), Woodland, CA, and Pam Ballard (husband Weldon), Merced, CA; 12 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; and mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to many step-children. She was preceded in death by one grandchild; one great-grandchild; and five husbands.
She was the matriarch and mother, grandmother and great-grandmother not only to her own family, but to many others. She will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held Monday, March 31, 2014 at 11:00 A.M., at Grace United Methodist Church, Merritt Island, with reception following in the Fellowship Hall.
