Philip James Mazalewski


Philip James Mazalewski, 75, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Philip was born in Brooklyn NY and moved to Indian Harbour Beach in 1974. He worked at Harris Compositions Division until his retirement. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. An ardent reader, Philip volunteered for many years at the Satellite Beach Library.

Philip is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Ruth; his children, James (Michelle) Indian Harbour Beach, Thomas, Melbourne and Stephanie (John) Schomaker, Melbourne; Eight grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

He was predeceased by his eldest daughter Tracey.

Family will be receiving friends Sunday, February 17th from 5pm-7pm at Brownlie - Maxwell Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian burial will be Celebrated at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Indialantic at 10:30 am on Monday February 18th.

In lieu of flowers, family requests donations in Philip's name to the Brevard Alzheimer's Foundation, 4676 N Wickham Rd. Melbourne, FL 32935.
