Robert Lee Bremer
Robert Lee Bremer, 90, of Titusville, Florida passed away on March 3, 2014 at his home. He was born in Highland Park, Michigan on July 1, 1923 to Robert Bremer and Bernice Walter Bremer who preceded him in death.
SMSGT Robert Bremer served in the U.S. Air Force
for 20 years and retired on March 1, 1966. He was most proud of his military service. He was an airplane mechanic and traveled extensively though out Africa, Asia and Europe during World War II
servicing aircraft. While serving in Africa, Robert met his beautiful wife of 53 years, Clara Elana Bruni of Cairo, Egypt. They were married on March 2, 1946 in Payne Field, Cairo, Egypt. Clara preceded him in death on January 5, 1999.
During his military career, he was stationed in four countries and 12 states. Robert received The Air Force Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service.
Upon retiring from the Air Force in1966, Robert took a position as an analyst with IBM, in Huntsville, Alabama and later in Raleigh, North Carolina, and retired again in 1981.
Robert was an avid fisherman and owned a shrimp boat while living in Gulfport, Mississippi, and he also enjoyed shooting pool. If Robert saw a person in need, he was always there to give them a hand.
Robert is survived by his three sons, Allan of Harvest, Alabama, Steven (Kathy) of Titusville, Florida and Paul (Gina) of Atlanta, Georgia. He is also survived by three grandsons, Lee (Alison) of Miami, Florida, Matthew, and Michael of Atlanta, Georgia, and one granddaughter, Erin M. Bremer of Atlanta, Georgia.
