Robert W. Gould

Robert W. Gould, proprietor of GOULD'S STORE in downtown Cocoa, died July 5, 2013 in Tampa, Florida. He was 78 years old. Born in Orlando, FL, he lived with his family in Sharpes, FL, on the Indian River Drive as a boy.

His family moved to Mulberry Street in Cocoa after World War II. He graduated from Cocoa High School and served his country in the United States Army. He helped his father, Arthur Gould, in his store on Delannoy Avenue in Cocoa. Eventually, he took over the Gould store and continued the business for forty-five years. He was a resident of Merritt Island, FL for most of his adult life.

Survivors include his son, Arthur Gould (Millissa) of Tampa; daughter, Annie Laurie Gould of Cocoa; and sisters, Jean Hopkins of Vero Beach and Ada May Parmelee (Hubert) of East Hartland, CT. He was preceded in death by his brother, Howard Gould.

Services will be private.
