Walter "Gator" Jemlich, 72, of Indialantic, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2014.

He was born in Lawrence, MA to the late Walter and Edna Jemlich. Gator served his country honorably in the US Army during Vietnam where he became disabled. He worked at Malden Mills from which he retired after 42 years of service. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #165 of Haverhill, MA, VFW Post # 4643 of Satellite Beach, FL, Moose Lodge #2367 on Indian Harbour Beach, FL, and American Legion Post #122 of Methuen, MA. Gator was an avid fisherman who loved white water rafting and life. He was a great husband and father.

He was predeceased in death by his parents and his brother, Donald.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 18 years; Geraldine, sons; Walter (Monica) of Lubbock, TX, Stephen (Michelle) of Germany, and James (Kim) of Milford, MA, daughter; Dianne (Kevin) Stevens of Haverhill, MA, brothers; William (Noreen) Dowd of Lake Placid, FL, and John (Kerry) Dowd of OR, sisters-in-law; Jacqueline Conlon of Indian Harbour Beach and Pamela Jemlich of Boca Raton, FL, and ten grandchildren.

A memorial service is being planned for sometime in June to be held in Massachusetts.
