Willard Clay "Bill" Alexander Sr.(1922 - 2010)

Alexander, Sr., Willard Clay, "Bill", formerly of Titusville, Florida, was 88 when he departed this life on December 1, 2010 at the VA Medical Center in Lake City, Florida.

Born in Yankton, South Dakota on June 19, 1922, son of the late Dewitt Alexander and Inez Marks, Bill is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 67 years, Wanda Gray Alexander of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; and son, Richard Alan Alexander of Loveland, Colorado. Preceded in passing by sister, Cora Ellen Alexander; son, Willard Clay Alexander, Jr.; and son, Stephen Dewitt Alexander.

Bill was an Army Veteran of WW II, Private First Class, Company A 383rd Infantry 96th Divsion, surviving three invasions to defend our way of life earning a Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

He was a graduate of Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and worked as a General Contractor for the better part of his life in Central Florida.

Also survived by brother, Wayne Dewitt Alexander (Gene) of La Crescenta, California; grandchildren, Todd F. Alexander (Karen) of Deland, Florida, Brandy A. Watson (Kenneth) of Lake City Florida, Kiotee Alexander of LaPorte, Colorado, Richard Aaron Alexander (Darcy) of Yuma, Arizona, Laurel Burke (Ryan) of Aurora, Colorado, William Henry Dewitt Alexander of Fort Collins, Colorado.
