William N. Orosz, Sr. was born in Manhattan, New York on April 22, 1924, the fourth son of the late Joseph and Anna Orosz. He married his wife, Margaret Orosz (nee Kasko) on January 19, 1947.
Bill served with the US Navy
during World War II
and was a lifetime member of the VFW
, American Legion, and the Submarine Veterans Association. He was a retired Carpenter in New York, a lifetime member of the New York District of Carpenters and Joiners. He moved to Viera in 2004 and became a member of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Byzantine Catholic Church in Fort Pierce, FL. Bill was a 4th Degree member of Knights of Columbus and was very active at One Senior Place.
His beloved wife, Margaret predeceased him in February 2005. His loving family is comprised of four sons, three daughters-in-law, nine grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bill passed away peacefully on February 23rd. Arrangements have been made through Florida Memorial Funeral Home: Viewing, Friday, March 1st, 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm; Parastas at 7:30 pm at Faith Viera Lutheran Church, 5550 Faith Dr, Rockledge, FL; Divine Liturgy, Saturday, March 2nd at 10:00 am at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Byzantine Catholic Church, Fort Pierce, FL; phone 772-595-1021. Interment will be at Florida Memorial Gardens, Saturday, March 2nd at 2:00 pm. A repast in Bill's honor will be held at Wickham Park Senior Center, Melbourne, FL 3:00 - 6:00 pm.
