Robert Selle Obituary
Robert Ayars Selle, 84, of Rockledge, Florida, has given all and crossed somewhere over the rainbow, and joined God's choir of angels, Friday, April 5, 2013, at Dr. Jey Pallai Center for Hospice Care at Wasdin Woods, Wuestoff Hospice, Rockledge, FL.
Mr. Selle was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, February 17, 1929. He moved to Florida in 1960, after he graduated from Purdue University. He came to Brevard County in 1968 from Miami-Dade County Florida, where he began his career with Florida Power and Light. Mr. Selle worked for Florida Power and Light as a Chemist testing water samples. He retired in 1983, with 25 years of honorable service.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Cocoa Florida. He was a member of the choir for many years and spent a 30 year span singing in many church choirs.
He is a charter member of the Illinois Railway Museum at Union, Illinois, The Electric Railway Clubs of Florida and The FEC Railway Society for Florida; in which he was quite active over 50 years, accumulating a large collection of trains and memorabilia.
He was a member of Automobile License Plate Collectors Association, and was an avid collector of license plates and highway signs from all over the country and the world.
He was a hospital volunteer at Wuestoff Hospital in courier service and transport service. He also volunteered at the medical facility at Health First Healthplex on Merritt Island, Florida, as well as some years at Cape Canaveral Hospital on Merritt Island. Volunteering was his life after retirement, for he loved helping people.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Rex/Selle; two sisters, Joann Hoadley-Myers and Eleanor Stanley; and various nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are 6-8 PM Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be held 2 PM Friday, April 12, 2013 at First United Methodist Church of Cocoa. Interment will follow at Brevard Memorial Park.

My sweet Robert, I buried you today and it was a fine send off. So many wonderful friends and kind loving church members who remembered you with love in their hearts.
My sweet husband you taught me how to love and be loved and I will always remember this about you and how much you gave to me. Now as I go on with life without you my heart is heavy but my love is strong and God is with me and will see to my needs. Sleep well my love and wait for me at the end of the rainbow where we will walk through heavens golden streets together. I love you forever and ever and ever and ever...

Praying for comfort and strength for you, Aunt Christine. I agree with you - Uncle Bob was always kind and sweet! I will always remember Uncle Bob's generous volunteering in the hospital, his wonderful home movies from the 50's and 60's, his interesting collections of all types of memorabilia and his amazing scale-model train sets! I remember fun visits to Uncle Bob's home in Florida when I was young. We are so glad you became his loving wife and a part of our family, Aunt Christine!
