Malcolm Linkous Obituary
Malcolm Linkous, a great husband and father and anointed man of God, departed the earth Tuesday night, May 17, 2011 at 10:30 in his home in Titusville, surrounded by his family.
Malcolm was born March 9, 1917 in Christiansburg, Virginia. His early life was spent working with his dad in the coal mines of West Virginia. At age 25 he received Christ and was radically transformed into a man of God and anointed preacher. He and his wife, Hanna, traveled the nation and the world representing Christ and their church, The Church of God of Prophecy for 44 years.
In 1988, Malcolm and Hanna retired from full time ministry and blessed the congregation of New Life Christian Fellowship pastored by their son, Larry Linkous. Malcolm and Hanna enjoyed a full life, a marriage of 69 years and a ministry of 67 years.
Bishop Linkous is survived by his wife, Hanna; their 2 sons and wives, Gary and Elaine and Larry and Sandra; grandchildren, Jason, Greg, Jeff and Byron; 9 great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandson; and his brother, Eldridge. He will be loved and greatly missed by his family and friends.
Services for Bishop M.T. Linkous will be held Saturday, May 21, at New Life Christian Fellowship, 6755 S. Washington Avenue in Titusville. Viewing will be from 1:00 - 3:00 pm and the Memorial Celebratio www.northbrevardfuneralhome.com.

Sister Linkous... Please know you are much in our thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time. It was such a joy to be around you and bishop Linkous when I lived, worked and went to school in Cleveland. I was always impressed with bishop's love for God and people. Dear Linkous family;
Please know that the saints in North Carolina are praying for and with you during this time of your sorrow. I didn't know Bishop Linkous personally, but he has a great name in the church here in North Carolina. His contributions to the ministry and church will be remembered for generations to come. Many fond memories flood my mind from my growing up days and witnessing the faithful ministry of Bishop Linkous. He always had an extended hand of encouragement to offer at any given time, and has no doubt left a great legacy for his family and friends alike to admire, lovingly respect, and follow. My prayers are with the family today and in the days ahead as I know he will be sadly missed...

As a young man growing up in this church, I remember Bishop Linkous preaching in the Assembly as the Field Secretary to the General Overseer. He was a blessing to this church and will be greatly missed. Blessings and prayers for the Linkous family.
