Kerri, Phillip, Michael, Rick and family,
It was a pleasure to be a work associate with Bill for many decades ending with his retirement on January 5, 2007. Our work group is close knit, our “extended family”, with some of us working together for over 46 years. Bill was the most loving, kind and compassionate man I have ever met. His whole life was dedicated to the moral, physical and financial support and welfare of his family. Bill would proudly share with us on Monday the weekend events of his family. He could make our mouths almost water as he shared the wonderful dishes that Lorraine and her mother had prepared. (we were very fortunate to have experienced the pleasure of some of those dishes at our pot-luck luncheons ). We all looked forward to what Bill was bringing.

I know that all of the precious memories that you all can share with each other in being a part of such a loving Grand and Great Grand Parents Family will be a source of blessing, encouragement, and will sustain you as you recover and face new challenges in life. You all have a wonderful heritage and I know that all of you are proud and thankful as you look back on your lives and reminisce on the love of your family. Bill always had a lot of family and especially the grand children’s pictures in his office and often times in walking by I would notice him looking intently at them and he would so humbly say with a small tear in his eye, “Don’t you think they are beautiful”, I would answer, yes Bill, you have a beautiful family to which Bill would reply “God Bless them “. I’m sure that is his prayer from heaven today.

Gramps was an amazing man. I felt like another grandchild of his, no different than a member of his family. He always welcomed me with a huge smile; and kisses were a must. We would sit and talk stories of the past, and OF COURSE, talked Red Sox's. Boy was he mad when I went to the game and he didn't. lol...he told me to take lots of pictures, and I took more than you can imagine. Poor Kerri, had to sit through them while he explained who everyone was. I love it! He was such a kind spirit, a gentle man, and he loved his family more than anything. Even through the tough days, he made it to recitals and special events. It is sad to not have Gramps anymore among us, but I can't help but smile and think of him up with our Duck, reunited with their daughter, and loving on our babies. We will see you again someday, Gramps. Until then, play with the greats! Love you!
