ANN STALLINGS Obituary
Ann M. Stallings, 87, of Melbourne, a homemaker, died May 26, 2011. She was born in Richmond, VA.
She packed her three children into the car in 1960 to move from Norfolk, VA to Melbourne, FL. She was the best stay at home mom, period. She later be came finance manager at J.M. Fields Department Store in Melbourne and served as church secretary for many years. Gardening and grandchildren were just some of her favorite pastimes.
Look up "saint" in the dictionary and you will see a picture of Ann. Building a church from the ground up was very important to our parents lives and continues through our families. Singing in the choir and all kinds of music were passions of hers.
Drives to baseball practice, piano lessons on time and "lessons learned" were major influences in our development.
She is survived by her sons, Edgar (Mary) Stallings, Jr. and Richard (Rosemary) Stallings; daughter, Cheri (David) Grayson; six granddaughters; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Jean Bryson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar "Hoss" Stallings.
Calling hours will be from 1 until 2 pm on Thursday, June 2nd with a funeral service to follow at 2 pm at Brownlie-Maxwell Chapel. Donations to the charity of your choice shall be greatly appreciated.

Our hearts ache as Aunt Ann moves on to her new life. But, the wonderful memories of this dear sweet lady will heal our hearts. God bless each of the family and know that our prayers and thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

I'm sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs. Stallings, my prayers are towards the family that they know that she is now in the lords hands and out of any pain or sickness she might have been in. I give my prayers to her and I know that she was a good Mother to her children, how I know that is from knowing her son Ed a good friend of mine and to many others. May she rest in peace now, amen!
